Transcription

Dear Sir:

Will you kindly advise us in regard to the work, progress, and conduct of Mr. Fayuen Sun, a Chinese boy who has recently been attending your school? I am acting as Mr. Sun’s American guardian and adviser, but the boy has been disposed to take some matters pretty much into his own hands, and I am anxious to know whether or not he is conducting himself and doing his work in a creditable way. Will you please write me frankly and fully in regard to him?

Very truly yours,
