Andover, Mass.
My dear Mr. Stearns;-
Thank you for your letter of the 20th inst., enclosing a check for $300 for the general of Fayuen Sun, for which please find the receipt duly signed by me.
I did not get back to Washington until yesterday, or I would have written you sooner.
I am now looking for a tutor, and as soon as I secure one, I will send for Sun. I hope that everything can be arranged before the first of May.
