Mr. Alfred E. Stearns, Principal,
Phillips Academy,
Andover, Mass.

My dear Mr. Stearns:

I am planning to enter in September next the School of Law of New York University.

To meet the entrance requirements, I shall have to have a Law student certificate. Towards earning such a certificate, I desire to present evidence of the partial completion of a secondary school course.

Will you please grant me a letter or certificate which will indicate in detail the studies I completed satisfactorily at Phillips Academy? I will appreciate if you will make this certificate as favorable as possible.

Very truly yours,
