Dr.Charles D. Tenney,
Cambridge, Mass.

My dear Dr. Tenney,

I have your letter of the 29th inst. inclosing note from Mr.Tsai’s tutor. I will hand this to the boy’s instructors in mathematics and we will do the best we can for him. Apparently he is all right in Geometry, and perhaps it can be arranged to allow him to go on in Algebra on trial.

Sincerely yours.
Alfred E. Stearns

As I am obliged to leave town on an early train my secretary will sign this letter for me.
