Dr. Charles D. Tenney
Cambridge, Mass.

My dear Dr. Tenney:

Mr.Tong, the guardian of the Chinese boys who have recently came under my care, has asked me to find from the boys now in this country the best and cheapest method of remitting funds. He found the rates of exchange so high at the time that the boys left China that he gave them only part of the money he expected them to have, and send word to me that the balance would be forwarded so soon as he could learn the method employed by the other boys in securing their funds from home. I felt sure that you would probably know better than any one else what to advise Mr. Tong, so I shall appreciate your opinion.

Sincerely yours,
Alfred E. Stearns
