My dear Sir:-
I thank you for your letter of the 5th inst. Congratulations on your good fortune. A Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology us one of the best to be had in this country so far as scientific schools are concerned. I am very glad to allow Mr. Li to attend the banquet given in your honor, and I hope that this way be a most happy and memorable one for you.
