President P.C. Ricketts,
Troy, N.Y.
Dear Sir:
Mr. Sen Yan Yung, another one of the Chinese Boys of whom I wrote you recently, has just asked me to write you in his behalf. Mr. Yung to enter your Institution this fall. I think he has already sent you his college credits, if not, he will doubtless do so very soon. Mr. Yung is a fine, gentlemanly, and ambitious fellow, who has made a good record here, and who will continue to do so with you I feel confident. I shall be glad to have you advise me if you have not yet received his college credits.
Very truly yours,
