Dear Sir,
On behalf of my brother, I have the pleasure to enclose you a cheque for $600. through the usual channel, which kindly acknowledge receipt on arrival.
Please convey the following to my nephew-That time once gone will never return, the time for studying, that is in the time of youth, is very short, in comparison with the length of time in manhood, so there are ample of time for pleasure, when education and knowledge have been acquired during the days of youth, thereby there will remain nothing to regret in the long days to come.His father has been very much disappointed, and I wrote him to give his son another trial, you will, I am sure exercise the authority my brother has given you, and your kindness in undertaking to look after my nephew, is in every respect appreciated.
