My dear Tu:

On receipt of your letter of October 26 I mailed you on October 29 a check for $10.00 to cover the special items mentioned by you as needed at that time. I am also sending you today a check for $10.00 to cover your November allowance, or, in other words, incidental expenses that may arise during the month and that cannot ordinarily be classified with the regular bills that you are bound to contract. Please exercise the greatest care is your expenditures, as you know this is your father’s vigorously expressed wish.

Yes, the $500.00 referred to arrived several weeks ago and was duly credited to your account. The money came direct to me; so that evidently it was the intention of your father that it should be handled as part of the regular funds which he has placed in my keeping for your benefit.

Have you made any plans for the coming Christmas holidays? It is well for you to plan early and also to take carefully into consideration the expense involved in each plan considered.

Very sincerely yours,
