My dear Dr. Stearns:
I thank you very much for the check which has reached me for the expenses of Mr. K. Y. Tu. I ask you to believe that the young man has my interest and I will see to the proper completion of his studies here.
May I ask what plans you have for Mr. Tu’s summer vacation? Our school closes the-twenty-third of June, and we expect our rooms to be vacated at that time. We have a group of carpenters coming to hang new doors, put in new window frames etc., and it would be impossible for the boys to retain their rooms after the close of school.
Is it your plan to return him here next year? If so, what arrangements will you make for the storing of his goods? All of our rooms must be stripped in order to give the carpenters the right of way.
Very truly yours,
1926.
