My dear Mr, Stearns,

In replying to your ever kind letter of the I0th September, informing me of the cheque and my letter of the Aug 11, having reached their destination in due time, it always give me much pleasure and gratitude for the interest and extra troubles you are taking for my boy.

Now regarding to his next year's schooling, I have no option but to leave the matter wholly in your hand, any way some kind of preparatory school he must enter, in order that he might be contested at the end of the term, you are in a better position to judge, as I am sure, whatever decision you come to, will be for his good.

Again assuring you of my sincere gratitude and thankfulness for all your trophies, with kindest regards from

Yours ever truly
