Dear Art:
Thanks for your note of June 10, just received.
I am anxious that Alfred Tsai should have some regular instruction during the summer months at camp and, if Mr. Clayton would be the man to do it, I am perfectly willing to approve. It was my natural assumption, however, that Mr.Sanborn would be the man to take charge of this, since it is his camp, and that he would pick Slayton if the latter were the right man. Under the circumstances, therefore, I would prefer to leave the matter in Mr. Sanborn’s hands, lest, by asking Shayton to do it, I might by chance be running counter to Mr. Sanborn's wishes in the matter.
Hastily but affectionately yours,
Mr. Arthur F. Stearns
