Dear Dr. Stearns:
Your letter has been received and in reply to your request made in it, a copy of Tu’s last report is enclosed. Our term ends on December 21, and it is possible, of course, that at that time he may be able to produce a stronger report.
I had a talk with Tu yesterday and naturally, like many other boys, he makes many promises to do better. Whether or not these will amount to anything remains to be seen.
May I thank you for your interest in this young man.
Sincerely yours,
Dr. Alfred E. Stearns,
