Description
Handwritten letter sent from K.Y. Tu to Dr. Alfred E. Stearns. States he decided to stay in America to finish high school work. States his father asked him to change studies to electrical or mechanical engineering, secure a position at a Ford factory, or return to China. Asks Stearns to write his father about the decision. Explains Tu should pay the school tutition because he holds a $200 scholarship. Did not want the school to know Stearns was his guardian and be asked to pay the full tuition.
