My dear Dr. Stearns:
I trust that my boy Kong has informed you of my arrival in the United States of American and my intention to call on you specially as soon as my official duty will permit.
I expect to be in Boston on the afternoon of January 25th and visit you on the morning of January 26th is convenient to you
On the morning of January 25th I will visit the Navy Yard at Portsmouth, N. H., and in the afternoon I will leave for Boston by the first train. I shall be obliged if you will be good enough to give me a telegraphic reply as to whether the proposed arrangement will not inconvenient you.
I am looking forward with the greatest pleasure to meeting you at Andover in the near future and thanking you personally for much valuable assistance you have given to my son.
