Dear Charlie:
I have your letter of February 18. and am enclosing a check to replenish your depleted bank account, as requested. We will talk over details when I see you a couple of weeks hence.
I should be very reluctant to go back to the monthly installment plan, for you are old enough now to handle your own finances, if you are ever going to do it, successfully, and the experience which you are getting in having your own bank account and discovering how easily it may shrink will be of value to you all through your later life. Further, I am sure that you will not knowingly abuse the privilege of handling your funds in this way, even though you may make mistakes at times.
Ever faithfully yours,
