Dear Tom:

Thanks for your letter and the detailed account of your expenditures to date. The latter I am filing in your receipt envelope and I am forwarding a check for four hundred dollars as requested. Evidently it does not pay to let your bank account drop below fifty dollars for that involves a needless expense, so I am sending the larger amount.

I have Just written Charlie and would make the same suggestion to you also that Ifhyro have any problems to discuss with me and are going to be in this general vicinity during your Easter holidays, come out here some day and let's have a good old-fashioned talk. By the time you get through writing all of those theses you have mentioned you ought to be ready for something savoring of a let-down.

With all good wishes, believe me
Very sincerely yours.
