Dear Charlie:
Thanks for your last letter. I am writing your father by this same mail and am telling him that I heartily approve of the decision to allow you to return home this coming summer.
By all means come down here for a day or two after you have cleaned up the slate at Amherst. I shall want to see you and talk things over before you start on the lone journey home. Bring Chan with you if you can. I remember him well and most pleasantly.
My very best to you, as always.
Faithfully yours,
AKS/C
