Dear Charlie:
Thank you for your good letter of May 13.
I an enclosing a check for two hundred dollars for the purposes you have mentioned. When you need more, be sure to let me know.
Thank you so much for your thought of me for the coming Commencement and your graduation. I appreciate deeply a personal invitation like yours, especially when it comes from you in whose work I have taken so much pride and in whom personally I have such complete confidence. As a matter of fact, my classmates are begging me to come back for our thirty-fifth anniversary, which comes this year, and the Trustees, who meet at the Commencement season, are insisting that I be present at that meeting. It looks, therefore, as if I would be in Amherst at least for a part of the festivities, though as you can guess this will be the very busiest season of the year for me here in Andover.
with every best wish, believe me always
Faithfully yours,
AKS/G
