Dear Mary:
Thank you for your letter of June 14.
I am glad that you are planning to see Charlie before he goes home, though I am wondering just now whether he is to go home soon or not. I had supposed that this was to be the plan, but only this last Saturday, while I was at Amherst attending my class reunion, I received a cable message from your father asking me to tell Charlie to plan to take a secretarial course this summer. I am afraid that Charlie will be dreadfully disappointed, though perhaps his father has already paved the way with him for this new plan.
With all good wishes, believe me
Sincerely yours,
