Dear Mary:
Thanks for your last letter.
Please let me know how you stand financially and whether you need some money at this time. You have asked for very little of late and I am anxious that you should have whatever you actually need, for I know that this must be father's wish as well.
As I shall in all probability have occasion to visit New Haven once or twice during the next few months, I am hoping very much to find the opportunity to see you then. In the meantime, the best of luck to you.
