Dear Charlie:
Thanks for your letter of September 11.
I cannot do otherwise than approve of the arrangement you have made for your room and work for the coming year. It seems to me the best scheme possible under the circumstances, and I am sure that if you find that your studies are interfered with in any way, you will be the first one to take steps towards a change. As I have to be in New York from time to time and expect to be there for the College Board meeting next month, I shall hope for the chance to have a little visit with you.
I am enclosing a check as requested. When you need more, let me know.
With all good wishes, believe me
Faithfully yours,
