Dear Charlie:
I have just received the enclosed letter from your father, a letter which speaks for itself. In order that you might have the latest news on your situation and prospects for the future, I am sending the letter on to you, but shall be glad to have you return it at your convenience.
I do most earnestly hope that the London position will definitely materialize, for I know that you will get a lot out of such a position that must prove not only of interest but of real personal value to you. Anyway, we will continue to hope for the best and refuse to be disheartened even if the tide continues against us for the moment.
Ever faithfully yours,
