Dear Dr. Stearns,
I am just writing a line to tell you that Charlie has arrived and I have also received your letter of November 14th. My wife plans to visit New York City the latter part of January I will ask her to bring the piece of jade to New York with her. In due course I will let you know the name of her steamer and the date of arrival. When convenient will you let me know whether there are any friends of yours in New York to whom she may entrust the jade?
