Dear Mary:
Thank you for your good note of May 16. It was nice of you to accept the Abbot Academy decision in the good spirit in which you did, for I know you wanted to go, and I know, too, that I would have loved to have you go if only the Abbot people had played fair with me and you in the past. When you get to Almira, I hope that we shall have no misunderstandings of the kind that have troubled us in the past.
I hope to hear from Elmira within the next few days, as I am sending them a preliminary application in your behalf, and Mr. Sze who was out there only this last week, wired me that he, too, would make inquiries.
I am going to try to run over one of those days and get a look at you but, so far, I have been too busy to find the necessary time.
With all good wishes, believe me
Ever sincerely yours,
Miss Mary Sun
