My dear Mr. Fitch:
One of my Chinese wards, Thomas Sun, whose family, residents of Tientsin, are, I believe, friends of yours, has expressed the desire to be baptised. His father had urged him to postpone the actual event awaiting your arrival in this vicinity and in order that you might perform the ceremony. May I ask whether your plan are such as to make it possible for you to arrange to do this in the not distant future? I understand from Mr. Schneider of the International Committee that you are at present touring some of the eastern states, so I am assuming that there is a chance at least that your wanderings will carry you to our vicinity. I hope so.
Very sincerely yours,
Mr. George A. Fitch
