Dear Mary:
Thanks for your last letter - that of May 8.
I don't see any reason why you should not go on the Japanese boat if the sailings and prices best meet your needs. I feel pretty confident that your father would approve. Alfred and Helen Tsai, who returned last summer, used a Japanese boat, and I think at their father’s expressed request. And so I am prepared to endorse the project and wish you the best of luck.
I am glad that the trunk arrived safely.
