Dear Mary:
Owing to our recent Anniversary celebration and the extra work involved, I have had no chance to answer your letter or follow up its suggestions until today.
First of all, I must know what marks you are likely to be able to present to Wellesley or Mount Holyoke College from Elmira at the end of the year. Please send me at once copies of your marks to date covering each year you have been in college, for I must have these in order to present your claims.
Another thing, in view of your father’s recently expressed willingness to allow you to take the nursing course, if such a plan meets with my approval, are you wise in planning a doubtful transfer or would it be better to consider seriously the nursing course at Yale? If the latter, will you have sufficient credits as the result of year Elmira work to gain admission next fall?
These are the questions that must be definitely decided before I shall feel justified in presenting your case at either of the colleges in question or in sanctioning finally the Nursing School plan. So please write me promptly and fully, for we can’t afford to delay much longer lest we lose out all around.
Very faithfully yours,
