My dear Mr. Sun:
Dr. Stearns is on further leave of absence from the Academy and is spending the year abroad. The package of tea which you sent him for Christmas has been received, therefore, in his absence and will be held here until his return to this country. He will appreciate the tea and also your thought of him. and you will no doubt hear from him personally upon his return.
