My dear Sun:
Your letter of March 7, asking that in Dr. Stearns’s absence Mr. Hopper send you a check for $400. to cover the expenses of the Easter vacation and the spring term, has been received. I am enclosing herewith the check from the Treasurer's Office. Will you please sign and return the enclosed slip.
I am sorry, but I cannot tell you the exact date of Dr. Stearns’s return. We have not heard definitely, but we are not expecting him until the end of our spring vacation, which is March 31st.
