Dear Tom:
Here I am back again, as you will note. I have been here several days in fact, but have been too busy with pressing matters to give proper consideration to your claims.
If you are to be in Boston early next month, by all means run out and let’s have a talk about the Harvard admission. I have recently had a letter from your father in which he expresses some of his hopes and desires for you, which may prove helpful to us as we figure out your future work. I must be in New York on the first and second of the month, and may be delayed until the evening of the third in getting back. After that I ought to be here pretty regularly.
