Dear Mary:
Year telegram has just reached me, but unfortunately I wrote your father several weeks ago, and prompted by your own urgent request, endorsing heartily your proposed plan to take the course at the Yale Nursing School. I shall await the receipt of your letter with interest to know what has led you to change your plans so suddenly but in the meantime I am sending this note at once so that you may know how matters stand.
