Thanks for your letter of October 19 and the enclosures. The latter I am returning herewith.
My letter of yesterday’s date covers the situation pretty thoroughly, I think, and I am glad to note that of our own volition you have come to the conclusions which I myself had already reached. Don’t worry: I am sure we can yet find a good opening, even if a salary attachment does not accompany it.
