Dear Arthur:
Thanks for your letter of October 21 with its full and completely satisfactory explanation of the $5.00 in question returned you by the Bursar. I have sent another check to the Bursar for $5.00, as requested; so you may, of course, keep what you have an use it for necessary incidentals. Under the circumstances I am perfectly satisfied with what you have done. Further, if the bill from the Cooperative Society was sent you in the summer and returned without your having seen it, I have no right to offer any adverse criticism there. I do know, however, that you have been remiss in the past in returning promptly to me bills sent you to be OK'd, and I am only anxious that carelessness of this kind should be avoided for the future.
Very sincerely yours,
