My dear Mary:
Thank you for your last letter.
I am returning Minister Sze's letter, which you and not I should answer. The Minister had already written to me expressing his wife's desire to invite you to be her guest during the spring holidays and I had written him expressing my hearty approval of the plan. This will be much better for you than to remain in Elmira. Please write Mrs. Sze at once, therefore, and tell her how grateful you are for her invitation.
I am sorry that chicken pox is prevalent at Elmira. You ought to be thankful that no more serious disease is around. Chicken pox may make you uncomfortable for a day or two, but it is a pretty mild affliction at best.
With all good wishes, believe me
Very sincerely yours,
