Dear Arthur:
Thanks for your good letter received this morning. I am glad indeed to learn that the teeth are better and the job progressĀ¬ing satisfactorily.
Tom arrived Saturday and is waiting for his expense acĀ¬count to come from Middlebury so that he can check up with me on his funds and then arrange for his vacation. I have urged him to invest part of the time at least in Amherst with Charlie so that he can be near Mary, especially for Christmas Day.
The usual Christmas boxes of Chinese candy from your home arrived several days ago, and I am remailing yours to your Cambridge address.
With all good wishes for a Merry Christmas and a happy and successful New Year, believe me
Faithfully yours,
AES/j
