Dear Mary:

Have you begun to think at all of your plans for the coming summer vacation? As you probably know, it is necessary for you to register soon if you are to enroll in any camp or summer tutoring school. I don’t think you ought to plan to study through the entire summer, though naturally you may wish to invest some of the vacation in this way.

Please let me know just what you are thinking about in this connection, for I want you to do the right thing and I want to help you so far as I can to do it.
