My dear Mary:

Thank you for your letter of April 8 and for this latest news of your life and work at Elmira. Don't get discouraged. You always seem to come out better than you think you are going to do, and consequently you cause yourself a lot of unnecessary worry. I am sure that if you do the best you can, even though you may not lead the class, you will be able to maintain satisfactory standing and make steady progress as you go along.

With all good wishes, believe me

Very sincerely yours,
