My dear Mary:
It was mighty thoughtful of you to send me that Easter greeting, a greeting which I was very glad to receive. I wish you might have been here, though my own Easter Sunday was pretty busy one, as I had to go up to Exeter to preach in the morning and to invest the rest of the day after my return with several of my trustees who had stayed over after the regular meeting on Saturday.
Accept my heartiest good wishes for the spring term just opening and for the summer, too, that lies ahead. Unfortunately I missed a call from Arthur and Charlie who came out here a week or two ago when I was in New York.
Every sincerely yours,
