Dear Mary:
I have your note of April 22 and am enclosing a check, as requested, to replenish your bank account. I am also returning the account book which I have looked over with interest.
I am immensely curious to know what the latest reports are you get from your parents in China and how they regard the prospects for the future. Arthur expects to come out soon and I hope to have a chance to learn something from him.
Trusting that the college year will round out for you in a most satisfactory way and that your work, health, and spirits will continue to improve steadily, believe me always
Very sincerely yours,
