My dear Alfred:
I have your letter of October 8 asking me to order some special stationery for you. This I am willing to do if you really need so much writing paper at this time; but first of all, I wish to ask whether you ever received a somewhat similar order that I placed for you, at your request, with a firm somewhere in the West? As I recall it, this order with accompanying check to cover the price was mailed by me the latter part of the summer or early in the fall.
