Dear Alfred:
I sent your raincoat by mail several days ago and trust that it has reached you safely. Pardon me for not sending it at once. I found it in the car on my return to Andover and took it upstairs with the intention of shipping it to you at once, but my cook saw it in the hall and hung it up in the closet where it escaped my notice until your letter came.
I sent you a check yesterday for $5.00 to cover your allowance for incidentals for the month.
Yes, Helen is back again at the Whittier School in Merrimac. Do write her often.
