My dear Dr Stearns,

I came back school last Monday and was very glad to see my schoolmates again.

Alfred and I had a wonderful time in South Weymouth. We went skating, played ball and had a great fun together.

Did you have a fine trip? I think it certainly is nice to have the opportunity to travel somewhere else and have a change, for you have been working so hard at Andover.

When I left Andover, I took your shoe-case with me. After I reached in Merrimac, I gave your shoe- case to Alfred and I told him bring it back to you, but I do not know where he put it. I think perhaps he put it in the Inn or somewhere in your house. I do hope you will write or telephone and ask him about it.

Have you get the silk, which my father and mother sent yet?

Well Dr, it is almost the time for study so I better stop and will write later.

With best wishes,
Most sincerely yours,

P.S. Please remember me to Miss Jones.
