My dear Dr. Stearns:

I wrote you yesterday about Admiral Tsai’s children and also sent you a check for $2,000.00 for their maintenance.

I forgot to ask you when your school will open and how soon you will be ready to receive them. I am inclined to think that they should come to you as soon as you are able to receive them, even before the opening of school, in order that you may find out how advanced they are in their studies.

As I am sailing for Europe, will you please notify Mr. Yung Kwai when you can receive Admiral Tsai’s children.

Very sincerely yours,
Sao-Ke Alfred Sze
