Dear Tsai:
I have your letter of September 6th and I am enclosing herewith a small check which I hope will answer your purpose. It is hard to know just how much money to advance to you since Mr. Liang was very insistent that you should keep your expenses within a most reasonable limit. I can’t help feeling that the summer has cost a bit more than was intended.
Don't forget that the school year opens early next week. You ought to be here not later than Monday, September 15th.
