My dear Dr. Stearns
I am enclosing draft on the International Banking Corporation, New York, for U.S. $1,600.00 to cover the allowance of my boy, Kuo-fang, for one year.
I hear from Luo-fang quite frequently and he is, I am sure, making good progress with his education under your charge. Allow me to thank you for the personal attention which you have been giving him from time to time.
With kindest personal regards,
Yours very sincerely,
