Dear Sir:

TIENTSIN T.T. #02 AUG.28TH $2000. IN YOUR FAVOR.

In response to your letter of September 3rd, inquiring for the name of the remitter of the above funds, we would inform you that we have already placed at your disposal all of the details which the cable message instructing the payment contained, and we assume that the remitter advised our Tientsin Office that it would be unnecessary to include his name, thereby reducing the cable tolls.

We are, however, writing our Office at that point for the information which you require and shall be pleased to report to you as soon as we have heard from them. Meanwhile, if you deem the matter of sufficient urgency to warrant cabling for particulars, we shall be pleased to do so at your expense.
