States the last letter received was at the time the Japanese attacked Shanghai. Details attempts and pleas to the U.S. government to send aid to China and stop appeasing Japan. Explains that Pearl Harbor was the end result of the U.S. government's appeasement. Hopes that the government will learn that comprising or appeasing when moral issues are at hand will only lead to loss. Provides updates on his family. Attempting to write memories of his days at Andover as headmaster. Expresses thanks for a gift sent before the war. Expresses concern over the current social conditions in China. Requests Sun's opinion on China's current events.
