Phillips Academy,
Andover, Mass.
My dear Dr. Stearns:
I am sending you herewith bill for tuition and incidentals for Tsai.
I am pleased to inform you that “Charlie” is in good physical condition and has had a good summer. He has made commendable progress in Ancient History, Plane Geometry, and English. As has always been the case, his work is irregular and he has no more than an even chance with his examinations. If he is to take college examinations this fall, he should continue to work until the time of those examinations. If he does this, his chances will be very much improved. Personally I am very fond of the boy and feel that he is developing rapidly and should make a fine man. He has been a real addition to the camp.
I hope the summer has been a pleasant and restful one for you.
Very truly yours
