Dr. Alfred E. Stearns,
Home Camp
Pittsburg, N. H.
My dear Dr. Stearns:
This is to acknowledge receipt of your check for $241.33 recently received.
As for the charge for the season, our rate is the same this year as last, $400. In 1916 the charge was $350.00 but that was the last year that we were able to run for that price. You are certainly right in your allusion to high prices which refuse to come down. I shall be surprised if we are not forced, when our books are balanced at the close of this season, to make a further increase in rates. With the salary roll of nearly $9000.00, some close figuring is necessary in order to any more than pay the interest on our investment.
You will be glad to know that Tsai continues to do good work and was on the camp Honor Roll again last week.
With kindest regards, I remain
Sincerely yours
